Thursday September 9 2019
IWBAT:
. Identify how the performers in the video use their bodies to create objects in a Mime performance.
. Understand the difference between using Sound Effects and using Music, in a mime performance; I can identify examples of both, from the Music and Mime Performance.

We all collaborated in deciding who will play the various listed characters in our mime , although some of our group members were not cooperating well on what we should do in our scene .We can improve by listening to each others ideas and working on our thinking skills, as there were only few people giving ideas. We were to be trying creative by imagining all our props since we could not use any real props. We pretended there was a table , cups and food. We also tried to work hard on our acting skills through  facial expressions. I think we tried our best to think out of  the box and hopefully next time we will do better.





                                              Thinking about how to improve our mime

 We brainstormed a lot to improvise in a better way. We all were listening to each others ideas for any more improvements that can be made . We thought of many great ideas which we used in our mime . We kept the good ideas and discarded the boring ideas. After watching the mime video,we could visualize how to improvise on our props in the simplest ways.We were creative by making sure everything looked as realistic as possible and improvised in every possible way.

Mime and Music : Lesson 6

IWBAT :

Music & Mime - Lesson: 6/10
Learning Question: How can we create an Imaginative Mime using Music?
Outcomes:
1. Plan a Story suited to selected Music (Theme Tune)
2. Contribute to the group’s ideas and Creative Process
3. Use skills learnt to create an imaginative Character in the Mime

Activity:
In groups choose a piece of music as your stimulus. Write a short story of what will happen and the characters involved.  Remember you will be performing a Mime so no words are needed!
(All Members of the Group need to write the story/plot in their own books)

Plot : _5 kids stay up at night as their parents have left home . The kids stay up and they think that everything is amazing at night but they heard 2 knocks on the house door and and they went down and saw through the peep hole and ran for their lives and the gorgons power spread through the house . They need help but they have no idea what to do so they find a portal through the walls and that leads to a world under ours where no one has been before .________________________________________________________________

Reflection: Have your ideas been included? What Character are you playing?
__________________________________________________________________Yes my ideas were included and its great that everyone's ideas were included too. I am one of those 5 children .
