A performance of a piece of Indian music begins with a (chord/ostinato/drone)
often played by the
(sitar/tabla/tambura). The opening section of a raga is
called the (Alap/Jhalla/Gat/Jor). The music can
be quite (religious/slow/fast)
at the start. The main instrument then joins in, which is often the
(sitar/tabla/tambura); it plays the (drone/tala/melody). The second section of a
raga is called the (Alap/Jhalla/Gat/Jor) and later on, the music is accompanied
by a rhythm played on drums called (tambura/sitar/tabla) in the third section
called the (Alap/Jhalla/Gat/Jor). The raga ends with (some/two/all) of the
instruments playing together where the (pitch/timbre/tempo) gets faster. This
